Fixed-grip chairlifts are built as both summer and winter tourism facilities. The double, quad or six-seater chairs are permanently attached to the haul rope. The loading conveyor system developed by Doppelmayr/Garaventa is the key to safe and convenient boarding on fixed-grip installations operated at rope speeds of up to 3 m/s. Transport capacity can reach up to 3,200 persons per hour depending on the size of the chairs used.
