23.05.00 - Doppelmayr builds the first 6-passenger chairlift with bubble in Russia

On March 18th, 2000 the first 6-passenger chairlift opened in Russia in the ski resort of Zavjalikha (www.zavjalikha.ru). Zavjalikha mountain is located in the southern Ural in the region Chelyabinsk near the city of Trekhgorny. Zavjalikha Trekhgorny is both Doppelmayr´s client and partner in this exciting project.

The new chairlift opens up the ski resort of Zavjalikha which is very popular among Russian tourists. The installation is approx. 2,200 m long and features chairs with protective bubbles to offer maximum comfort even in windy or snowy conditions.

The project is a joint development of Doppelmayr Austria and its Russian subsidiary Skado Samara.
